Yahoo! Living Ads: Where Motion and Emotion Meet

New interactive and evocative ads for tablet apps from Yahoo!

livingadsImagine being able to combine the appeal of a television spot with the beauty of a magazine spread. Now add the interactivity of online and the cool factor of tablets. Power all of it with Yahoo! ad innovation and you get Living Ads, Yahoo!'s newest tablet app ad format.

Yahoo! announced Living Ads at today's Yahoo! Connect Forum at ABC Studios during Advertising Week in New York City. Designed specifically for tablets in partnership with award-winning digital studio Alexx Henry Studios, Living Ads combine the interactivity of digital with the emotional engagement of broadcast, inviting consumers into a uniquely immersive brand experience. With Living Ads, advertisers drive the creative process, maintaining control over the entire experience that consumers have with their brands.

Deeper branding opportunities

Adaptable enough to help meet advertisers' varied campaign goals, Living Ads create a highly tactile experience. The ads use video to increase engagement, as well as capitalize on the motion-sensing capabilities of tablets. The creative interacts with the consumer, making the ads virtually impossible to ignore. Consumers can tap, swipe and wipe to explore a brand experience in new and compelling ways. The benefit for advertisers: opportunities to increase brand awareness, favorability and loyalty through a more memorable and enjoyable experience.

More innovative ad formats

Yahoo! is also extending the reach of its Rich Media and Image Ads formats to tablets for in-app advertising. Brands like Fidelity, Toyota and Subway have taken advantage of Yahoo!'s Rich Media Ads, which leverage HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript for animation, interaction and analytics to bring a more compelling ad experience to mobile devices. Rich Media display options include fixed-placement banners, video, expandables and takeovers, as well as couponing and custom ad units. Image Ads allow brand advertiser creative to be used on tablet devices to engage their target audiences, and provide access to ad performance metrics for optimizing campaigns on these devices.
