CBS heralds sitcom's season premiere with interactive insanity on Yahoo! homepage
Max and Caroline of the CBS sitcom "2 Broke Girls" are back for their sophomore season at the Williamsburg Diner. What better way to herald the occasion than to take the diner's tongue-in-cheek HR training module for its "non-discrimination, anti-retaliation, inappropriate conduct" workplace policy on the Yahoo! homepage?
CBS and Yahoo! teamed up to create a custom screening room that proves "2 Broke Girls" has ramped up its style of push-the-censors-to-the-brink humor in its second season and underscores that the show has moved to a new spot on the network's schedule with the catchphrase: "2 Broke Girls" (New Time, Still Broke).
The first time you land on the page, the 300x250 ad on the right self-expands into a 740x420 screening room. The auto expand is frequency capped at once per day per user. Otherwise, it's user-initiated.
The screening room lets you watch a teaser for the upcoming season and read up on leading ladies Kat Dennings ("Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist") and Beth Behrs. Most fun of all, the ad lets you partake in that "2 Broke Girls" Human Resources Training Module that teaches you the dos and don'ts of a professional efficient and ethical workplace.
The "2 Broke Girls" custom expand offers just the right amount of interactivity that gets the user involved in the same kind of irreverent fun as the show itself.
