Still, seeing jack-o-lanterns in July is somewhat disorienting. But at this time of year, with holidays stacked up like 747s over JFK, the cacophony of clashing holiday campaigns can be downright overwhelming.
Thankfully, our resident doodler David T. Jones is an ace marketer made of sterner stuff. When he walks through a big department store stuffed with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas decorations, he doesn't see chaos---he sees opportunity.
