New Ad Land Cartoon: The Balding-is-Cool Campaign

Can a good marketer successfully promote anything? Even a chrome dome?

Sometimes advertising poses seemingly insurmountable challenges, like marketing yet another miracle ab machine or pushing products doomed by a bad name, bad timing---or that are just flat-out wrong.

On the other hand, isn't it a poor marketer who blames the product?  Our David T. Jones is the glass-half-full type who stands ready to fearlessly promote what looks to be a really hard sell---baldness. We wish him luck; making a smooth head seem cool will work better for me than stuff like this.
