ad land early smallTo get the upper hand on a fellow creative, you have to get up semi-early in the morning
Ad agency creatives are a sneaky bunch, says our sketch master, David T. Jones. And he should know, being a creative exec himself. David has seen all the tricks---and pulled some himself. He offers this week's cartoon, taken from past experience, as an example.
"Creatives almost never arrive at the office early," he says, "so when we do, we're sure to make it known." Only it's not enough to show that you're at work early, which he defines as anything before 9 a.m. You have to make sure everybody knows that the other creatives aren't at their posts---and that's where some real creativity begins.
Check out David's tale of ad-agency one-upsmanship after the jump.
